• Horses can be unpredictable; we cannot claim any liability for the behaviour of your horse or any accidents that may occur during the visit. It is therefore your decision to wear protective clothing (hat, gloves, body protector, appropriate footwear etc.) during the saddle fitting session. We recommend all riders hold adequate rider’s insurance and third-party liability cover for their animals.
• Please provide a safe space for us to complete a static and dynamic (walk and trot) assessment, assess the saddle fit and complete a ridden assessment (walk, trot, and canter).
• If at any point the site or horse is deemed unsafe then we will be unable to complete the visit.
• We will never pressure you to buy any stock we may carry
• We will ensure that the saddle fitted at the time of the appointment is correct for your horse and you will be given a record of the session.
• If the horse appears unwell or lame during the appointment, we will not be able to fit a saddle that day. We will refer your horse to your veterinarian for investigation and would require confirmation from the attending vet regarding the horse being well enough/sound to saddle fit.
We expect full disclosure of any historical or current illness, injury or veterinary diagnosis as this can impact our approach to saddle fit.
• Maintenance of the saddle remains the responsibility of the client.
• Saddle fit will need to be monitored by the client and it is your responsibility to book regular saddle fitting appointments as or when necessary. Changes in weight, workload, episodes of lameness, illness or time off work are examples of things that will affect the saddle fit.
